RULES
Any rules not contained within these rules will automatically revert back to Hockey Canada Rules.
VISORS ARE MANDATORY. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Eligible players: All players must register at the Ice rink sign in table prior to their first game
Game Format: Once the ice has been cleaned and the doors have been closed, 20 minutes will be placed on the clock. At 16 minutes the buzzer will go to end warm up. The clock will continue to run until the game commences. Remaining periods will be 15 minutes running time in length with the last minute of each period being stop time. The finals will consist of three 18 minute running periods. Minorpenalties will be 3 minutes running time, majors 7 minutes.
TEAMS MUST BE PREPARED TO TAKE THE ICE 10 MINUTES PRIOR TO THEIR SCHEDULED START TIME
Playing rules: There will be NO RED LINE. Icing will be called from behind a teams defensive zone blue line.
Hurry up faceoffs will be in play.
No body contact.
Slapshots ARE permitted.
Any 5 minute major for fighting will be automatic removal from the tournament. All Games misconducts, Gross and Matches will be reviewed and rules upon by the tournament committee.
There will be a ZERO TOLERANCE policy on Abuse of Officials. This is a fun tournament.
Any games in the round robin that end in a tie will remain a tie.
In the finals, a five minute sudden death 3 on 3 will take place followed by a three person shootout.
Standings Format:
PLUS MINUS DOES NOT COUNT TOWARDS TIE BREAKERS. Running the score up on opponents has no benefit.
The top 2 teams in A and B division will meet in the finals.
The winner of each C division will meet in the finals.
2 points will be awarded for a win, 1 for a tie and 0 for a loss.
Tie breakers in the standings will be resolved by:
Head to head
Least goals against
Least Pims
Coin toss
Any rules not covered within will be at the discretion of the Tournament Committee.
